The ambassador of Italian dance in the world, Ballet Milano under the direction of Carlo Pesta is one of the most prestigious Italian companies, performing in major theatres in Italy and abroad. The protagonists of this exclusive Milan Ballet version are Carmen, the beautiful non-conformist, passionate and desirable, and Fate, so well described by the omnipresent leitmotif of the music. The action on stage will show the spectator a fascinating clash in which Carmen will realise that the only way to live the life she wants is to submit to Fate.

In Ballet Milano’s Carmen, it is Fate that plays a decisive role, leading the story and gradually revealing itself through various symbols: love, betrayal, death. Fate puts first Don José and then Escamillo in Carmen’s path, gradually revealing itself through the symbols of the cards to finally lead Carmen to her death by Don José’s hand.
