You will once again have the opportunity to see and hear the pop idols of the 70s, 80s and 90s. The music festival will last until 02.00 on 7 July. The NOSTALGIA FEST ’24 festival at the Grand Bandstand in Mežaparks provides a rich programme, which includes the performance of famous musicians, on whose songs more than one generation of listeners grew up!

First day!

From 18.00 on 5 July until 01.00 on 6 July three iconic British rock bands will perform on stage at NOSTALGIA FEST ’24:

SLADE. The bright representative of the popular trend of glam rock in the 70s and 80s. With their unique blend of perfect pop-rock’n’roll, outrageous flamboyance and pure fun, and undisputed hits SLADE have become a firm favorite in the hearts of rock fans all over the world. SLADE’S chart career has spanned 6 decades and their enduring songs “Far Far Away”, “Cum on Feel The Noize” and “Coz I Luv You” are still featured today in TV commercials for some of the World’s biggest companies.
SMOKIE. “What can i do”, “Living Next Door to Alice” – without the songs of this group not a single night disco in 80s and 90s could do! From those days and up to now they remain one of the most sought-after bands at all nostalgic festivals in different countries. Current members honorably carry the banner of this group and really “light up” with cult songs, forcing the audience to sing along and enjoy what they listen and see during the performance!
SWEET. Band history began back in 1968. Their performance style varied from buble-gum to hard rock. In 1970 alone, they had 13 hits that entered the TOP 20 of various charts. The thread that links the past through to the present is Andy Scott. His determination to maintain high standards with the band’s musical legacy and touring is legendary. They continue to pack venues out all over the world and they have a steady tour diary.

Second day!

From 19.00 on 6 July to 02.00 on 7 July pleasant surprises from pop music representatives of the 70s, 80s and 90s:

Local artists will be the first to appear on stage performing famous songs of the last century.
Duo Anna-Maria. Accompanied by the large symphonic rock orchestra JP Magic Orchestra, the Ukrainian singers, whose fantastic voices sounded at the festival last year, will perform with the ABBA Medley program.
ARABESQUE. The incendiary group with the participation of the permanent Michaela Rose from the original lineup, with whom the famous hit “Hello M. Monkey” was recorded! Some songs of this group will also be performed accompanied by JP Magic Orchestra.
Johnny Hates Jazz. British pop group, formed in 1986. Real success came to them with the release of the single “Shattered Dreams”, which became a hit. In the US it reached second place, and in the UK it stopped at fifth position; in addition, it entered the charts in Austria, Switzerland, the Netherlands and other European countries. In 1988, Johnny Hates Jazz were nominated for the prestigious BRIT Awards in the Best New Artist category.
Precios Wilson. The bright lead singer of the group Eruption will be completed the performance oft he stars. Whose songs “One Way Ticket” and “I Can’t Stand the Rain” sounded from every radio in houses and yards, not to mention discos!

The festival will end with fireworks and a nostalgic disco with DJ Ufo!
