Concert in Liepaja: the band Tranzīts on BIG7 club stage!!

Tranzīts is a Latvian dance music band from Gulbene. The band was formed in 1994 when Ralfs Rubenis and Aldis Zaļūksnis performed under the name “PEA” at the Mustard and Honey festival in 1994. It won awards for the best arrangements and lyrics, as well as an invitation for further cooperation to record an album.

Although there were concerts in front of an audience before, it was the good results achieved at the festival that motivated them to continue. However, shortly after the festival Aldis Zaļūksnis decided to go his own way and Ralfs Rubenis continued his activity (together with dancers) under the name “Tranzīts”.

The leader of the group Ralfs Rubenis was born on 12 August 1970 in Gulbene.

The song “Pasaka” was dreamt up and the song “Nezvani vairs” was inspired by the film “The Thin Red Line”. For the musician, song ideas come from everything. Sometimes when writing a song, it feels like selling your soul. Ralfs Rubenis is a man who expresses himself by singing his songs.
