On 30 March, the first official party – the Eurovision 2024 pre-party. This year sees the eighth edition of PrePartyES, which takes place in Madrid annually.
Last weekend, Dons took to the stage at the Eurovision warm-up event in Madrid with his song “Hollow”. The musician praised the event, saying that the audience received him warmly.
The PrePartyES event was attended by 26 of this year’s contestants. This was the first of six Eurovision warm-up events, and similar events with the Latvian representative will be held in Barcelona and London next weekend. Dons is also planning to take part in other Eurovision warm-up events in Amsterdam, Stockholm and Copenhagen.
Dons praised his PrePartyES experience: “Eurovision is loved in Spain, you can feel it. We have been received warmly. These warm-up events are a great opportunity to prepare for the big contest, to show ourselves to its most passionate fans and to gain important experience – both in dealing with the media and with representatives of other countries. ”
Last week producers announced the order of performances at the 68th International Eurovision Song Contest. It was announced that Latvia’s representative will enter the second semi-final as number nine.
On 10 February, singer Dons won the live broadcast of the Latvian TV song contest “Supernova 2024” with the song “Hollow”, earning him the opportunity to represent Latvia at the 68th International Eurovision Song Contest.
The musician will perform in the second semi-final on 9 May, which will also feature Malta, Albania, Greece, Switzerland, Czech Republic, Denmark, Austria, Armenia, San Marino, Georgia, Belgium, Estonia, Israel, Norway and the Netherlands. The first Eurovision semi-final will take place on 7 May and the final on 11 May.
