Anyone who has followed the career of Modern Talking knows the incredible story of Thomas Anders and Dieter Bohlen. Formed in 1984 and celebrating 40 years this year, the duo became famous immediately after their first hit “You’re My Heart, You’re My Soul” topped the music charts in 35 countries.

Three years later, the duo, later recognised as one of the most successful bands in the history of pop music, broke up. By this time, Thomas Anders and Dieter Bohlen could boast sales of more than 60 million albums. Nevertheless, their creative collaboration did not end there….

The duo’s return to the pop scene in March 1998 proved that Modern Talking was still at the top of its game. The album “Back For Good”, released the same year, went quadruple platinum in Germany and surpassed the platinum mark in several other European countries.

However, Modern Talking ceased to exist in 2003 with a farewell concert in Berlin. At that time, their combined sales of singles and albums reached 120 million. After the breakup, each of the duo members pursued their own projects.
